Podcast on micro-credentials: “I believe that the deepest learning takes place in action and in collaboration", says Hanna Teräs

Liisa Uusimäki from University of Gothenburg interviews Principal Lecturer, Dr. Hanna Teräs from Tampere University of Applied Sciences. They discuss about the good practices in distance teaching and learning, online collaboration and micro-credentials.

“If we talk about learning, it is not only acquisition of knowledge, but also growing as a human being. You can cumulate knowledge by yourself but you need collaboration and interaction to grow in a community.”

These are the thoughts of an interviewed Principal Lecturer Hanna Teräs from the Tampere University of Applied Sciences (TAMK). She spoke about the good practices in distance teaching and learning, especially in flipped classroom, about online collaboration at TAMK and new activities within the project Academy for Sustainable Future Educators (EduSTA).

Hanna Teräs has an important role in the European EduSTA project as an expert on development of micro-credentials.  She has a special interest in digitalization, and she is the Principal Lecturer (Digital learning environments) at the School of Professional Teacher Education of TAMK. She has a broad background and special interest in authentic learning, adult and professional education, and especially the digitalization of education. She also has experienced working at Murdoch and Curtin Universities, in Western Australia.
