Welcome to a playful dialogue on biodiversity offsetting.

Welcome to gaming sessions of the Offsetting Game (Kompensaatiopeli), organized in Finland as UN Stockholm +50 associated events. Through this interactive gaming stakeholders involved in sustainable development and conservation will engage in playful dialogues to enhance their mutual understanding and facilitate future collaborations. The Offsetting Game (Kompensaatiopeli) is a tabletop game developed by Tampere University researchers to simulate and understand biodiversity offsetting. In the Offsetting Game two teams of players, conservationists and developers, compete against each other.  The game can be played in Finnish and English.

The interactive gaming sessions are created by  STUE and the Gamification Group/Tampere University.

Upcoming gaming sessions

The first gaming session is organized at Tampere University, Linna building room K106 (Kalevantie 5, Tampere) on June 3rd at 12.30-15.00. All interested are welcome to join! Please contact: nina.nygren@tuni.fi and antero.hirvensalo@tuni.fi.

More gaming sessions will be arranged during autumn 2022, at least in Pori and Helsinki. Dates and details coming up closer to the events.
