Welcome to STUE seminar ‘The stories we tell: Biodiversity, rights and the forest’ on 3.4.2025 at 14.00-16.30. Please sign up using the form below so we are able to organise enough servings.

Forests as the home for majority of earth’s terrestrial biodiversity are at the front line of the battle against biodiversity loss. This seminar explores the different narratives about forests and biodiversity, forest rights, and narratives as tools of epistemic governance. The speakers are Markus Ketola from the University of Edinburgh, Päivi Kymäläinen from Tampere University and Jukka Syväterä from Helsinki University. The seminar is organised by Sustainable Transformation of Urban Environments (STUE).

The event is free of charge and open to all. It is on-site only.
