WP1 Management
The aim of the management work package is to ensure that the project will be completed successfully. TAMK as a project coordinator is responsible for the overall management of the project. This WP will go hand in hand with the WP6 (Quality).
WP2 Context and Competence Analysis
Context and Competence Analysis will provide the background information for the development of competence-based badges and educational modules in Work Packages 3-5. The competence analysis consists of
- Surveying the politico-legislative frameworks of the participating countries
- Conducting workshops with teachers and teacher students
- Interviewing key stakeholders connected to education and teacher-training programmes
Preliminary results will be disseminated through a webinar and online publication by the end of April 2023.
The WP is led by University of Girona.
WP3 Designing Competence-based Learning Modules
Work Package 3 defines, designs, and refines learning modules and educational guidelines to foster Education for Sustainable Development, Key Sustainability Competences (KSC), and Futures Literacy for a variety of teacher-training programmes. The learning modules will facilitate learning that fulfills the competence criteria of the digital open badges designed in WP4. The work package proceeds through the following phases:
- Defining outcomes of KSC Teacher Training pilots
- Defining learning processes, designing principles, and instructional strategies
- Designing learning activities, materials, and assessment
- Developing outputs: online publication & seminar (November 2023)
- Refining the Design after pilots (spring 2025)
The WP is led by Hanze University of Applied Sciences.
WP4 Fostering Educators’ Sustainability Competences through Digital Open Badges
Work Package 4 continues working with commonly shared and agreed sustainability competences. The aim of the WP is to create a badge constellation for sustainable future educator’s competences. This requires operationalization of the competences defined in WP2 into badge criteria, which can be assessed. This is a collaborative process and is carried out in close cooperation with WP3.
The work package proceeds through the following phases:
- Creating common ground for open digital badge-driven learning
- Creating badges by using a shared template
- Creating graphical design of the badge constellation
- Opening the Open Badge Factory for partners (August 2023)
- Revising the badges after pilots (2025)
- Output: Opening a new badge-driven concept and badge constellation for a wider audience
The WP is led by TAMK.
WP5 Piloting Learning Modules and Open Digital Badge-driven Pathways
In Work Package 5, the learning modules and open digital badge-driven learning pathways are piloted by all partners in 2024. Piloting happens as part of teacher-education programmes (pre-service teachers), continuous learning offering for in-service teachers, or as online self-study implementations depending on the organizational structures of the universities.
The pilots are executed both in English and in the teaching languages of the universities. The pilots feed the refinement and reflection of the results of WPs 2-4 in spring 2025.
The work package is divided into the following tasks:
- Piloting preparations
- Implementing pilot modules and open digital badge-driven learning pathways
- Evaluating the pilots
The WP is led by TAMK and University of Gothenburg (evaluation).
WP6 Quality Plan
The main aim of this work package is to assure that the activities performed in the project are completed on time with high level of quality. The WP is led by the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague (CZU).
WP7 Dissemination and Exploitation
This WP coordinates the project dissemination work. The WP ensures comprehensive sharing of project outcomes and good exploitation of the project results. The WP is led by the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague (CZU).
