Lisa Glybchenko participated in the 2023 exhibition “In the Frontlines and on the Home Front – Donbas Frontliner and Ukraine Beyond News Pictures” in Media 54, Finlayson, Tampere, Finland. For three weeks, Lisa was exhibiting 10 of her recent artworks and offering 50 copies of the latest Color Up Peace art books (focused on visions of freedom/peace in Ukraine) for free to visitors. Lisa joined two very talented Ukrainian photographers exhibiting their work – Andriy Dubchak from Donbas Frontliner and Kseniia Pavlova. They are respectively bringing to us insights from Ukraine’s frontlines and Ukrainian civilian life during russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. This exhibition was part of the Tampere Freedom of Speech Event, organized by the Pirkanmaan Kulttuurirahasto (Suomen Kulttuurirahasto / Finnish Cultural Foundation). Peace Technology & Peace Entrepreneurship for Ukraine. 2022.

Peace Technology & Peace Entrepreneurship for Ukraine, organized by Color Up Peace and Demola at Tribe Tampere in the Platform6 Startup House in Tampere, Finland.

This initiative aimed at mobilizing technology and innovation enthusiasts of Tampere to use their talents to brainstorm solutions of restoring peace in Ukraine and rebuilding the country after the destruction caused by the full-scale war in 2022, as well as 8 preceding years of external aggression against Ukraine. We wanted to bring together participants from a variety of backgrounds: professionals, researchers, businesses, NGOs, students – both Finnish and Ukrainian, as well as Ukrainians who have relocated to Tampere since February 2022. Together, we explored and developed ideas for Finnish-Ukrainian partnerships in the spheres of technology and innovation to rebuild Ukraine along these themes:

  • Education;
  • Inclusive city infrastructures and good livelihoods;
  • Women’s rights and gender equality.
