Prototype version of the Biodiversity Offsetting Game is now available! Join us to try it and to develop the game with us!

We want to test our game and get feedback from different kinds of stakeholders. We are organizing game workshops in spring and summer 2019 in Finland and France. Biodiversity offsetting game is a social card game which is playable from 4-6 (desirable) to 12 players (possible). The aim of the game is to learn about biodiversity offsetting and conservation but also to raise discussion about offsetting, its justifications, practices, roles of different actors and their power positions. We plan to have a finished game (in three languages: Finnish, French and English) in November 2019 and it will also be available online for free.

One gaming session lasts approximately one hour and it is followed by a one hour debriefing session. These will be recorded, solely for research and game development purposes, and anonymity of the participants will be preserved.

Contact us if you want to organize a gaming session in your organization or any other group of players!
