Distinct forms of governance in-between public and private spheres are becoming more common and extremely influential. Likewise, scholarly attention for hybridity and hybrid organizations has increased the last couple of years. In institutional life and practice, hybrids, hybrid governance and hybridity appear in many forms (Johanson and Vakkuri 2017).
