Background
The Generative Artificial Intelligence in Business Support (GENT) project brings expertise in generative artificial intelligence and large language models to companies and organizations in the Satakunta region. The project carries out AI-assisted pilots and experiments designed for regional businesses and public organizations. The solutions, tools, and materials developed through these pilots and experiments are made available for use by companies operating in Satakunta.
Goal
The objective of the project is to increase AI-related knowledge and raise awareness of AI tools among organizations operating in the Satakunta region through various experimental environments, pilots, and practical activities.
The project conducts pilots and experiments that apply generative AI to business and operational areas identified by companies and organizations as having development potential. Through these activities, participating organizations gain concrete, practical, and easy-to-adopt examples of how generative AI can be utilized in their own operations. At the same time, they develop a better understanding of the skills, competencies, and tools required to successfully adopt AI solutions.
Impact
The project enables local companies to experiment with and adopt AI-based solutions in support of business development, digitalization, productivity improvement, and more effective investments. By leveraging the opportunities offered by generative AI, organizations gain access to new approaches for strengthening competitiveness, increasing productivity, and improving the efficient use of resources.

The project is co-funded by the European Union, with the Regional Council of Satakunta acting as the funding authority.
Partners and co-operators
The project activities are carried out by the Pori Unit of Tampere University. Its researchers and experts collaborate with regional companies and organizations in the co-development of AI-assisted pilots and experiments.
