AI Disruption at work (2024–2026)

AI Disruption at work (2024–2026) project investigates the perspectives and experiences of Finnish workers on artificial intelligence, and how the growing integration of AI is impacting and transforming workplaces and the workforce. More info: AI Disruption at Work.

Social media at Work (2019–2026)

The project uses an extensive longitudinal design to analyze how the professional use of social media, intelligent technologies and other digital tools relates to work engagement and employee wellbeing at work, including both positive and negative outcomes. More info: Social Media at Work.

The Changing Communication Environment and Workplace Well-being (MUVIT, 2025–2027)

The role of communication and interaction on digital platforms has grown. This development has transformed the working environment as experts are increasingly using communication technologies and generative AI in their work. The MUVIT research examines the communicative transformation of working life as a phenomenon and its interaction with workers’ wellbeing.

Hate and Public Sphere (2020–2022)

Hate and Public Sphere Project was a research project conducted in 2020–2022 that focused on cyberhate and harassment targeting university staff, media professionals, and politicians in Finland. The social psychological part of the project examined worker wellbeing, with particular attention to how new technologies at work may act as risk factors for bullying and harassment.
