WHOLE oli Tampereen teknillisen yliopiston hanke, jonka tavoitteena oli tuottaa kansainvälisesti vertailukelpoinen ja Suomeen sovellettu kaupunkirakenteen resurssitehokkuuden malli. Tutkimus sai rahoitusta Valtioneuvostolta vuosille 2015 ja 2016. Hankkeen verkostokumppanit ovat University of Cambridge / CEDAR ja University of Glasgow / Adam Smith Business School.
WHOLE-hanke koostui seuraavista osioista:
• Resurssitehokkuuden käsite ja toimintatapojen kv. benchmarking
• Tapaustutkimuksia kestävän maankäytön edistämisestä Suomessa
• Arviointi- ja seurantamenetelmien nykytila ja kehittäminen
• Johtopäätökset ja päätöksentekoa tukeva toimintasuunnitelma

WHOLE – Comprehensive resource efficiency model of urban structure
WHOLE was a research project lead by the Tampere University of Technology. The objective of the project was to produce a model of the resource effectiveness of the urban structure that is internationally comparable and is adapted to Finland. The study wass funded for the years 2015 and 2016 by Finnish Government. The network partners of the project are the University of Cambridge / CEDAR and the University of Glasgow / Adam Smith Business School.
WHOLE-project consisted of the following parts:
• The concept of the resource effectiveness and benchmarking of international methods
• Case studies of advancing the sustainable development in land use in Finland
• Present state and development of the evaluation and follow-up methods
• Conclusions and plan of action which supports decision-making
