The SAUMA project is looking for research participants
We are looking for interviewees for our sub-studies on child welfare institutions and family placements. We are seeking LGBTQIA+ youth who have lived in a child welfare institution, as well as unaccompanied refugee youth who have experience with living with a foster family. We will be sharing updates about the project’s activities and events on social media. You can find us on Instagram and TikTok under the name Saumatutkimus. Project social media is managed by peer researcher Aada Ojala.
SAUMA project receives approval from the Ethics Committee
The Tampere Regional Ethics Committee for Human Sciences issued a favourable ethical review statement for the SAUMA project on 20 May 2026. Data collection for the project began in summer 2026.
