The in-person meeting provided a platform for project team members to meet and share theoretical, pedagogical, methodological, and practical experiences and learnings to deepen knowledge on Peace Education praxis. Hosted by the Unit for Peace and Conflict Studies of the University of Innsbruck, the purpose of the study visit was to bring together members from each institution to foster collaborative learning processes and intercultural sensitivity.
The Study Visit in Innsbruck offered the opportunity for Project participants to deepen their knowledge of particular concepts, themes and issues in different contexts while carrying out team, group and trustbuilding exercises to support a smooth continuation of the project.
Country beneficiaries had the opportunity to use their Needs Assessment Presentations as well as the discussion and workshop spaces to share some of the opportunities and challenges that are present in their contexts in order to reflect on how peace education can offer different types of engagement tailored to those environments and ongoing conflicts in the region.
As a result of engaging in interactive, formal, and informal spaces, our team developed a clearer understanding of how to move forward and collaborate with other country beneficiaries and EU project partners in a communicative and professional manner, maximizing efficiency in implementing and achieving the objectives set for the PeaceEdu project
As we continue working towards fostering sustainable practices of peace, we ask that you follow us in this crucial journey and engage in the process!
