Peace Education and Curriculum Development through European Projects

On 11 February 2026, an online continuous professional training titled “Curriculum Development through European Projects: The Experience of the Erasmus+ PeaceEdu Project” brought together school teachers from across the Republic of Moldova interested in integrating peace education into their teaching and curricular activities.

The training presented the experience and results of the Erasmus+ Programme project PeaceEdu, highlighting how European cooperation can support the development of educational approaches focused on dialogue, resilience, and democratic values.

Participants were introduced to the structure and objectives of the PeaceEdu cross-regional course, designed to support interdisciplinary learning and knowledge exchange across different educational environments.

The presentation highlighted the role of student clubs as platforms for civic engagement, intercultural dialogue, and the promotion of peace values among young people.
The event created a valuable space for teachers from different regions of Moldova to exchange ideas on how peace education can be integrated into school curricula, classroom practices, and community initiatives.
European projects such as PeaceEdu demonstrate the importance of cooperation between universities, educators, and students in strengthening education systems and promoting a culture of peace, tolerance, and responsible citizenship.
