About the speakers

Veronika Kvitko, known as Vegesent, is a multidisciplinary artist based in Finland. She aims to initiate conversations and spark awareness around ethical values and sustainability through her art. She was born in Sarapul, Russia, in 1990 and currently resides and works in Helsinki, Finland. In the keynote and the group exercise we will explore practical ways to promote sustainability through our art practice. Together, we’ll discuss the power of artists’ voices in driving conversations and advocating for a more sustainable future. Raising awareness about environmental issues and the violence against animals, her art has been awarded the Vegan Choice Award in 2024.

Saskia Signori is the co-founder of Arcaica ry and the manager of the Koyne Program. As a registrar and art conservator with years of experience in museums and cultural organizations in Finland and abroad she specializes in organizing international projects and fostering collaboration across borders. With a BFA in art conservation, Saskia brings expertise in materials, which she applies to developing more sustainable approaches to art production and preservation.

The Kuvata Project is implemented by Tampere University of Applied Sciences, the University of Lapland, and Globe Art Point ry. The Häme Centre for Economic Development, Transport, and the Environment has granted partial funding from the European Union’s ESR+ program for the Kuvata Project.
