Pilot

At GPT Lab, we have carried out extensive experimentation and development work in the field of generative artificial intelligence, with a strong focus on practical, secure, and responsible business use. Our work includes:

  • experimentation with large language models (LLMs) for different industrial and organizational use cases
  • development and evaluation of agentic AI frameworks for advanced autonomous and semi-autonomous AI applications
  • fine-tuning of language models for domain-specific and company-specific needs
  • comparative analysis of models to identify the most suitable LLMs for different business scenarios
  • benchmark-based comparison of agentic frameworks using well-known evaluation settings and benchmarks
  • development of a wide range of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) applications, tailored for practical business and organizational contexts
  • ongoing work on extending memory capabilities in agentic frameworks to support long-term learning and more adaptive intelligent systems
  • development of applications that utilize tacit knowledge, helping organizations capture and benefit from expertise that is often difficult to formalize
  • research and development on how generative AI can be used to optimize current business processes in a secure, trustworthy, and efficient way

In addition, we have developed expertise and tools related to the EU AI Act, enabling organizations to better assess AI systems and their compliance needs. We are also developing a secure sandbox environment that allows companies and organizations to explore, test, and evaluate generative AI solutions in a controlled and responsible setting.

Our expertise covers not only technical development, but also the broader responsible use of AI, including:

  • security-aware AI adoption
  • GDPR-aligned AI development
  • EU AI Act-aware assessment and guidance
  • trustworthy and explainable AI
  • responsible integration of AI into business processes

We are currently working closely with SMEs and other organizations to understand their real needs and challenges. Based on these needs, we support companies in identifying suitable generative AI solutions and in understanding how such technologies can be adopted in a practical and responsible way.

Our solutions and support areas include, for example:

  • AI-based automation systems
  • fine-tuned LLMs for specialized domains
  • RAG-based applications for knowledge-intensive tasks
  • agentic AI solutions for complex workflows
  • trustworthy, transparent, and explainable AI solutions
  • tools and methods for responsible AI assessment and adoption
  • secure sandbox-based experimentation environments

We warmly welcome companies and organizations to:

  • test our current AI toolbox and solutions
  • share their business problems and development needs with us
  • explore how generative AI could improve their operations
  • receive guidance on how to adopt generative AI responsibly, securely, and effectively

Our goal is to help companies understand not only what generative AI can do, but also how it can be used in a trustworthy, practical, and regulation-aware way.

Work with Us on AI Innovation

The GENT project at Tampere University invites companies in the Satakunta region to explore collaboration opportunities in artificial intelligence.

We work with companies to identify real business needs, discover suitable AI opportunities, develop PoC and MVP solutions, and test them in a secure sandbox environment.

Whether your company wants to improve existing processes or explore new AI-based solutions, we would be happy to hear from you.
