The project follows open access principles to foster research. All research materials provided below are freely available for researchers and academics.

GAB5 for Windows

We recommend to use the most recent version. The older version is included only to allow compatibility with the already collected datasets. These packages include default gamesets and are ready to be run. Depending on your security settings, Windows may not recognize the executable file and to run the executable you have to change the file properties (“unblock”). We apologize for the inconvenience.
Available GAB5 datasets for researchers
• GAB5 Dataset 1.0 (based on GAB5 v1.0 and Gameset 1.0) – First part of the first pilot. Selected subsample used for exploratory analyses. Participants are university students (n = 106). Available variables are Big Five Aspects questionnaire (IPIP), demographic information and game responses. [Coming soon]
• GAB5 Dataset 1.1 (based on GAB5 v1.0 and Gameset 1.0) – Full data of the first pilot (includes also Dataset 0.9). Has been used for confirmatory analyses. Participants are university students (n = 500). Available variables are Big Five Aspects questionnaire (IPIP), demographic information and game responses. [Coming soon]
• GAB5 Dataset 2.0 (based on GAB5 v2.0 and Gameset 2.0) – Data of the second pilot. Participants are university students (N = 1XX). Available variables are Big Five Aspects questionnaire, demographic information and game responses (using Gameset v2.0, involving XX trials). [Coming soon]
These anonymized datasets are freely available for researchers and academics. They have been anonymized following the guidelines from Finnish Social Science Archive (FSD).
GAB5 Gamesets
• GAB5 Gameset v1.0. The gameset includes 104 trials. Half of the trials are “small” and half “large”. Compatible only with GAB5 v0.1. [download .zip]
• GAB5 Gameset v2.0. The gameset includes XX trials. Game responses were collected using 10-step Likert scale. The maps include three types of human characters (normal, high agreeableness, low agreeableness). Compatible only with GAB5 v0.2.
Running GAB5 requires to define the game maps and game parameters that define the game logic. These gamesets have been used to collect data and include both the maps and the game parameters.
