Healthcare Workers in the Eye of the Digital Turbulence: New Forms of Cooperation and Customer Orientation
is a consortium project between University of Tampere and Finnish Institute of Occupational Health. We study the ways in which digitalisation affects the multiprofessional co-operation, construction of expertise and new forms of interaction.
To address these questions, we collect three types of data: we interview both the healthcare professionals and customers, do ethnographically oriented observation and video-record video-mediated healthcare encounters. These data will be analysed by using content analysis, conversation analysis and ethnographic approach.
New understanding produced in the project can be applied when developing more customer centered digital health services. In addition to scientific publications we will collaborate with the participating organisations in order to support healthcare workers in changing work environment.
Duration: 2017-2020
