Public transportation
Zürich is a city with a wide range of public transportation options and coverage.
You can check the transportation info at Google Maps, but I would recommend installing the official ZVV app. Where you can search and buy tickets with your mobile. If you prefer buying tickets, there should be a ticket machine at the most of the bus stops (but not all).
If you are going to travel more by public transport you can buy special 24h or 72h tickets in the Zürich City Guide App
Taking public transport
You can travel freely on the same ticket with bus, tram, or train, and trolley. Just make sure that your ticket is valid or you have bought it via the App. During the control you should show the QR code or the valid ticket.
Zürich is divided into zones. During your stay you probably will be traveling between 110 and 150 (or inside 150).
