First Research Exchange in AI Champion

Koja Jalasjärven tehdas

As promised in the AI Champion project plan: our very first researcher exchange started this week! Our project is not only theoretical but aims to build useful AI Agents for real industry problems.

Rajratan Wankhade joined Koja-Chiller to test a prototype called Agentic AI-Orchestrated AutoML for Energy Load Prediction.

His main goal is to explore how this workflow can support and combine ML (machine learning) models with reinforcement learning for smarter HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) optimization.

The first stop of the researcher exchange is company´s new factory building in Jalasjärvi where the factory utilizes renewable energy sources and a new Wave solution for building services engineering is in use.

“I expect to learn more about the company’s practical workflows, data availability, and energy-efficiency challenges, and I believe this type of research can help bridge the gap between different disciplines”, Wankhade says.

The researcher exchange is carried out in close cooperation with Turo Väliaho, Jussi Rasku and Alina Suvanto. The plan is to work towards a research publication based on the findings from the exchange, with the aim of creating both practical industrial impact and academic value.

Good luck with the work to the whole team!
