The projects have strong consortiums backing their research on similar goals:
Talotekniikka 2030 is a consortium led by Aalto University and Tampere University, with 15 industry partners. Its mission is to co-create a shared vision for Finland’s building services sector and promote its implementation through research and agile pilot projects. One of these research projects is the Digitalisation of Quantity Take-Offs and Opportunities for Using AI.
Building 2030 is a consortium of Aalto University and 21 construction sector companies that envision, do research, and promote a better future for the Finnish construction industry. Their research themes include digital information flow in construction.
In AI Champion, we investigate productivity and construction challenges in Building Services and create a 100 AI Agents to solve these challenges and enhance the supply chains. Cooperation among these themes is natural.
“It is great to see how these projects bring industry actors together. We now have an exceptionally strong shared will to change construction operating models and enable truly digital product flows. This is no longer just a vision, but a clear direction in which the entire industry has decided to move towards”, says Tampere University Associate Professor Piia Sormunen, who also coordinates AI Champion.
