A-WEAR participated in the Global 5G Event and the European Conference on Networks and Communications which took place in Valencia on June 17-21, 2019. EuCNC is a conference in the field of telecommunications, sponsored by the IEEE Communications Society and the European Association for Signal Processing, and supported by the European Commission. This conference is one of the most prominent communications and networking conferences in Europe, which efficiently brings together cutting-edge research and world-renown industries and businesses. EuCNC attracts more than 600 delegates each year and an exhibition space of more than 1,500 m2. EuCNC 2019 was co-located with the Global 5G Event, which brought together the world 5G industrial associations: 5G-IA, IMT-2020, 5G-Forum, 5G-MF, 5G-Brasil and 5G-Americas.
A-WEAR exhibition booth presented the joint PhD program lines and objectives with the main objective of disseminating the EJD and seeking new collaboration opportunities. Moreover, other activities and events organised within A-WEAR were announced during the conference. To sum up, it was a unique opportunity to share A-WEAR to research teams with complementary skills and 5G industrial associations.
Finally, we paid special attention on announcing the open positions within the project. The ESR01 position “Energy-efficient edge computing based gateways for wearable networks” was advertised either at the booth and coffee breaks. Many MsC students, who met the eligibility criteria, showed great interest on participating in our network.
