Alma Onali has a new article out that examines how plastic bags become entangled in everyday emotions, practices, and material relations. The article, authored together with Taru Peltola and Kati Pitkänen, was published in the Journal of Consumer Culture and it is titled ‘Affective and material politics of plastic bags: a follow-the-thing analysis’. Drawing on a follow-the-thing approach, the authors trace how these mundane objects acquire social and affective significance.
