Olli Pyyhtinen and Stylianos Zavos have published a new article, ‘Containment and Leakage: Notes on a General Containerology’, in Theory, Culture & Society. The article interrogates containment as a technology and an ontological condition that shapes human and more-than-human relations. When exploring containment technologies as spatio-temporal devices of ordering vis-à-vis leakage, the authors take their cues in particular from waste management, as waste has important theoretical lessons to offer for the thinking of containment in relation to the question of order and disorder.
