A new book Sources and Methods for the History of Experience has been published by Palgrave Macmillian. In their article “Quantitative Data as Sources for the History of Experience” Pirjo Markkola and Ilari Taskinen discuss how quantitative sources like statistics, individual-level demographic databases and digitized autobiographical texts can be used to study historical experiences.
