This panel invites contributions on both troubles emerging within interaction and those introduced into it. Relevant contexts include various institutional settings as well as everyday face-to-face and online encounters, where participants intervene by evaluating tone, appropriateness, or norm violations. The panel focuses on three dimensions: resources (linguistic and multimodal means), practices (the sequential accomplishment of intervention), and ideals (norms shaping who intervenes, when, and how).
Deadline for paper proposals is 15 October, and the submission should be done via the conference website. The panel is organised by Minna Nevala and SHADOW project PI, Melisa Stevanovic.
