Capitalism reading circle continues on 13 January at 13–15 in PinniA2093

POSTCAPE runs a reading circle on the theme of capitalism. During the academic year 2019–2020, we focus on the notions of pericapitalism and postcapitalism.

In autumn semester 2019 we have been reading and discussing Anna Tsing’s The Mushroom at the End of the World: On the Possibility of Life in Capitalist Ruins (Princeton University Press, 2017). In this book, Tsing develops the concepts of pericapitalism and salvage accumulation. The book is available in Tampere University library as an ebook as well as a printed copy.

In the spring semester, we will meet to discuss postcapitalism on the basis of J.K. Gibson-Graham’s works.
