Two wider Society Learning events “Kiven murskauslaitteiden toiminnan seuranta“ were held at the Etelä-Hervanta comprehensive school in Tampere Finland. The principles of mineral processing as well as the OPMO project were reviewed. Furthermore, the work of a researcher in a University was thoruoghly discussed in addition to the activities of the group of Tribology and Machine Elements at the Tampere University.

During the sessions the principles of mineral processing as well as the OPMO project was reviewed. Additionally, the group of Tribology and Machine Elements at the Tampere University and the work of a researcher were thoroughly discussed.

Wider Society Learning event “Kiven murskauslaitteiden toiminnan seuranta“ took place on 25th of Nov at the Etelä-Hervanta comprehensive school Tampere Finland. The principles of mineral processing as well as the group of Tribology and Machine Elements at the Tampere University were closely reviewed. In addition the work of a researcher was thoroughly discussed.

The project meeting was arranged at the Wroclaw University. Progress of the project as well as future plans were presented along with rewarding discussion. On the second day the meeting group visited the KGHM plant in Polkowice.
29th of October, 2019
Workshop for school children at the WUST GEO3EM labs on 29th of Oct in Wroclaw Poland. Children had the unique opportunity to learn about the history of the copper mining industry in Poland, visit several cutting-edge laboratories in GEO3EM facility, try to play with the infrared imaging gear, and even try to operate a mobile robot by themselves.
9th of May, 2019
The project kick-off meeting was held at the Tampere University. In addition to extensive presentations and fruitful discussions regarding to the project outline, the meeting included a visit to Metso Minerals factory in Tampere.
