The large area coverage of our distributed system enables reliable and easy condition evaluation within new concrete, reducing the need for time consuming sample collection and ensures timely progression of the building project.
The technology can be readily installed in leak- and moisture damage-prone locations within the building. This allows continuous monitoring and easy leak detection, cutting the renovation cost significantly. Currently, moisture damage in buildings can go on unnoticed for years, and once detected, the cost of repair can rise to tens of thousands. With our technology, even challenging to detect and locate roof leaks can be mapped to the exact location of the leak.
Mission
Our mission is to bridge the gap between research and business by developing and commercializing a novel distributed sensor for continuous condition monitoring. The project focuses on delivering accurate and reliable solution that can be easily adapted for real-time monitoring of large areas.
Vision
Future concrete construction projects have access to reliable and real-time data on the concrete curing process, enabling faster decision-making both on-site and remotely.
The majority of moisture damages from preventable leakages are detected early on, drastically reducing renovation costs and uncertainty related to building maintenance.
Strategy
Our focus is on cutting-edge research and development to advance state-of-the-art moisture monitoring. The commercialization activities focus on creating easy-to-use and scalable solutions that can be easily used for moisture monitoring.
