The competence and innovation ecosystem of sustainable and intelligent textiles of Pirkanmaa will be
developed in the project. The ecosystem brings the companies, the public actors, universities and research organisations together. It gives an opportunity to textile and IT companies to create new innovations and to upgrade the existing products and services especially in the health care sector. The ecosystem brings know-how, innovation capability and international networks of the universities and research organisations to be reached by the companies.
At the core of the ecosystem is also the identification of the possibilities of the mass customizing of products and services in business development and the finding of the best design tools for planning the products and services of sustainable and intelligent textiles. Both the design and the mass customizing are tools with which also the small and medium-sized companies could produce small series or individual solutions and could be competitive on the international market.
The project promotes the objectives of intelligent specialisation and carbon neutrality and helps companies in the recovery of the business after corona time. The ecosystem makes possible and confirms opportunities for entrepreneurship and the start up companies with the help of the the know-how of ecosystem.
