Research outputs and activities of the Supervisor

Research group

The research of the Advanced Coherent Sources group focuses on the investigation of novel lasers for emerging applications. We are fascinated by nonlinear soliton intracavity dynamics and the investigation of novel laser schemes and regimes. We are developing high-power lasers based on an active tapered amplifier technology and coherent beam combining.

Research infrastructure

The research group has well-equipped laboratories with state-of-the-art equipment, which has everything to perform tasks within the project. It includes a series of spectrum analysers covering the wavelength range from 350 to 3400 nm, fast digital oscilloscopes, M2 measurement systems, a Vytran glass station and cleaver, a Nyfors customised drawing tower, femtosecond laser and material processing station. It also features of various power meters, power suppliers, FROG and several autocorrelators covering the wavelength range from visible to mid-IR.
