In reaction to the Covid-19 pandemic, national government have adopted significant stimulus and recovery packages to stabilize the economy and to address the social consequences of the pandemic. How green and gender equal have these packages been? This workshop discusses this question in relation to the cases of Germany and Finland. The papers analyze the German and the Finnish recovery packages from a gender equality perspective, and evaluate how the German stimulus package tackles climate change and environmental degradation in international comparison. The workshop is organized in collaboration with the Fulda Centre for Transnational Governance, and it is part of virtual lecture series of the Fulda Centre for Transnational Governance and the Jean Monet Chair.
