This lecture invites us on a reflective journey through key concepts such as the Global
North and South, the socio-historical context of Latin America, and the framework of
Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4). Drawing on comparative education policy
approaches and studies on the transnational circulation of educational ideas and
practices, we will discuss some of the key educational challenges currently facing Latin
America.
