BeLight research parties VTT and Tampere University of Applied Sciences and 14 participating companies met at a project commencement event on 12 February 2020 at VTT’s Tampere premises. The steering group was organized and research partners and companies presented themselves.
During the joint discussion, there was a good agreement on what the project aims at.
“We are developing more sustainable and environmentally friendly materials for new applications”, summed up Lisa Wikström, Project Leader from VTT. Networking, internationalisation and new business opportunities are also in the core of the project.
The objective is to commercially expoloit the project results both nationally and internationally. “Business Finland, the financier, is creating new growth by helping companies to become internationalised”, said Markku Lämsä, representative of the financier.
The project parties jointly agreed on the next steps and progress of the project.
The participating companies are Artekno Oy, Finnfoam Oy, Brightplus Oy, Tikkurila Plc, NMC Cellfoam Oy, Fiberwood Oy, Paptic Oy, Evere Oy, Cre4tive Oy, Eagle Filters Oy, Sense Corporation, EarthPac Oy, Vaisala Oyj and Sulapac Ltd.
