A new European Joint Doctorate network, A-WEAR, coordinated by ELT laboratory at TUT is to start on 1st of January 2019. A-WEAR (A network for dynamic wearable applications with privacy constraints) is an international, multidisciplinary, and multi-sectorial training network and joint doctorate programme on wearable computing. A-WEAR is funded by the European Union’s Horizon2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Skłodowska Curie grant agreement No. 813278. Four professors from ELT will co-operate in A-WEAR: Assoc. Prof Elena Simona Lohan (network coordinator), Assis. Prof. Sergey Andreev, Prof. Evgeny Koucheryavy, and Prof. Jari Nurmi. The full Consortium comprises 5 universities and 12 industrial partners from 5 European countries (Finland, Czech republic, Italy, Romania, and Spain). The network will soon open the call for 15 researchers to fill the 15 double and joint PhD positions available in the network.
