Thanks to our excellent research assistants, UnWar data collection is nearly completed

The data collection of the FA2W database began originally in the research project “Large Databases in Studying the History of War Experiences” (STASKO) in 2018. In the current UnWar project, our excellent research assistants Lotta Pirhonen, Niko Hakala and Oona Helistö have continued to work with the database by going through thousands of military service records and soldiers’ socioeconomic, military service, health and war experience variables. The long data collection round is now near complete and we will soon be able to start investigating the full data set.
