Together towards future proof nursing curriculum through digital interventions
The global need for online nursing education and communication is increasingly important. This generates regional and institutional requirements on providing high quality online education and consequently health care in the contexts of health promotion, disease prevention and management of chronic diseases in primary health care. The use of technology and active learning methods in Latin American partner countries provides “a giant leap” for digitalisation in nursing education and in health care services.
The main object of SmartNurse project is to improve nursing education and digital methodology about health promotion, prevention and basic nursing management of chronic diseases concerning primary health care in Latin American partner countries. We aim to
- Update curriculum using SmartNurse methodology in Latin American partner institutions
- Improve digital educational skills and pedagogical approaches of the nursing teachers in Latin American partner institutions
- Update pedagogical methods and tools are in use in nursing education in Latin American partner institutions
In the SmartNurse project all project partners will actively work together to achieve project outcomes. Implementation of the SmartNurse project includes Literature reviews, Teacher Training Programmes, development process of the SmartNurse Methodology and several piloting phases of the developed methodology.
