A three year long Erasmus+ Capacity Building project SmartNurse was launched into full speed in 3-day Kick-off meeting in 12th – 14th January.

The original plan to meet face to face was impossible due to Covid-19 pandemic, but the atmosphere was warm and there was a feeling of reunion since many were familiar faces the planning phase of the project even knowing though only video connections. Partners from Mexico, El Salvador, Slovenia and Finland,  started building warm and cooperative consortium and are eagerly waiting to actually meet in person.

The project and  the Kick-off meeting got special launch through kind and encouraging words of honoured guests in the first day: EU Embassador of El Salvador Andreu Bassols and Vice-President of Tampere University of Applied Sciences Kirsi Viskari.

The days contained introductions of each partner institution and team, orientation to the project implementation and administration, and agreeing on venues and forms of working together and communication. Due to the significant time difference between Latin American and European partners, the meeting days were compressed with a lot of content, and orientation and planning happened also outside the hours spent together.
