In the Autonomous University of Aguascalientes, in response to the issue of the pandemic, the “Institutional Program for Hybrid Education” was launched, which seeks to incorporate new teaching methods and Information Technologies into its educational processes.
In this context, in the Department of Nursing, Center for Health Sciences, we have taken advantage of the synergy derived from our participation in the international SmartNurse project, funded by the Erasmus+ Capacity Building program of the European Commission, which has included extensive training in active learning methodologies to the teaching staff of our department to increase their repertoire of didactic and pedagogical skills.
Regarding infrastructure, these synergies have been more evident when combining the equipment obtained through the co-financing of the project, which consists of diverse specialized equipment for nursing practices in the laboratory, combined with personal computers, tablets, professional audio and video cameras, which will allow our teachers give lectures of a higher quality and to attend students both face-to-face and remotely, and will provide an enriching learning experience.
