Sanna Kujansuu
I work as the Project Manager of the RETAKE project and I am eager to see what kinds of new business models we will create through collaboration with companies.
I have a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, with Construction Economics as my major, and graduated in 1998 from the former Tampere University of Technology.
I have nearly 25 years of experience as a construction management consultant in various organizations. One of my most significant roles has been serving as an expert in the Tampere Deck and Central Arena project, which includes the extension of the Hämpin Park underground car park and a landmark high-rise complex with towers of up to 30 stories.
In addition, I work as an entrepreneur promoting nature-positive construction and responsible business practices. In this role, I also prepare sustainability reports for SMEs.

I am a soon-to-graduate M.Sc. (Tech) in Environmental Engineering with work experience in the water services sector. I am particularly interested in promoting the circular economy and exploring how it can be developed into genuinely profitable business.

Jussi Savolainen
I am a Principal Lecturer at Tampere University of Applied Sciences, specializing in construction project management and the circular economy. I have a Doctor of Science (Tech) degree from Tampere University and I have experience both in research and in practical roles within the construction industry.
I lead projects that develop sustainable practices and digital solutions for built environment. In my work, I integrate perspectives from research, teaching, and practical d3evelopment.
My motivation is to make construction project smoother for all stakeholders and to strengthen the perspective of lifecycle value in construction.

Lada Stukolkina
I work in the RETAKE project as a Project Manager and Service Design Expert on behalf of Metropolia. I graduated as a Service Designer from Laurea University of Applied Sciences in 2023. My areas of expertise include co-creation methods and human-centered design, which I have applied in RDI projects within the real estate and construction sector, as well as in learner-centered design of online education.
In the RETAKE project, I am responsible for the implementation of Work Package 2, including the coordination of the ecosystem mapping and information management requirements. What especially inspires me in this project is the development of take-back business models and the creation of an ecosystem in collaboration with experts and companies.

Krista Mäki
I work at Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences as a Specialist in Circular Economy and Sustainable Business Development, as well as a Project Manager in projects related to these themes. In these projects, my perspective often focuses on developing circular economy–based business models and strategic responsibility. I hold a Master’s degree in Circular Economy and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Technology, and my strengths are in bridging technical and business perspectives.
What inspires me in my work is collaborating with companies that are eager to learn, innovate, and develop new solutions for advancing circular economy practices and, more broadly, for building more sustainable and resilient businesses. I am motivated by the opportunity to support and encourage Finnish companies towards sustainable competitiveness.
In the RETAKE project, I am involved in identifying the characteristics of take-back business models and helping companies apply take-back–based business approaches in their own operations.
Satakunta University of Applied Sciences

Sanna Lindgren, Project Manager
I am responsible for and participate in conducting research within a subproject that examines the cumulative energy consumption and environmental impacts of building materials, as well as how energy efficiency can be improved by reducing production volumes and optimizing material use.
I have a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil and HVAC Engineering (University of Applied Sciences) and a Master of Science in Energy Technology. I have several years of experience in research and teaching at Satakunta University of Applied Sciences. My expertise focuses on the carbon footprint and energy efficiency of buildings, as well as life cycle assessment. I am motivated by promoting sustainable construction and by exploring how understanding carbon flows can guide the entire building sector toward lower emissions and more resource-smart practices.

Milla Syväoja, Researcher
In the Retake project, my role is to map, through literature and stakeholder analysis, the existing research on the connections between circular economy, energy efficiency, and environmental impacts. Based on this work, I participate in the co-development and piloting of take-back models as an expert in environmental impact assessment, energy consumption, and energy savings, including conducting product-specific life cycle assessments.
I will graduated in spring 2025 from Satakunta University of Applied Sciences with a degree in HVAC engineering. Alongside my studies, I have worked on projects related to low-carbon construction, carrying out, among other tasks, carbon footprint calculations and energy simulations. Nature, environmental issues, and the circular economy are close to my heart, so it is rewarding to be involved in developing the built environment to become more resource-wise and ecologically sustainable.
