In February, we had the pleasure of hosting in Tampere lively meetings and workshops where we discussed our memory workshops (that took place during 2019 in Berlin, Riga, Helsinki, and Mexico City, as well as online), memory work, and preparations for the museum and travelling exhibitions and theater play.
The advisory board is composed of a diverse group of colleagues with a huge breadth of experience in academia, theater, and museum. We overviewed the project and next steps, reflected on the methodological, conceptual and theoretical aspects of memory workshops connecting academia and art, discussed themes emerging from the memory stories and connections between memories / objects / people / spaces / times and how to apply these for the museum exhibition. We also discussed themes and approaches for the project’s upcoming conference, which will take place in October 2021.
Members of Dollardaddy’s facilitated the theater workshop, during which we created potential characters emerging from the memory stories shared by the project’s participants, enacted the characters through role-playing and storytelling, and discussed ideas for the project play’s script.
A warm thank you to everyone’s participation and dedication!
