Since last week of October, Petteri Norring, member of the research team, has been visiting the department of history at the University of Kassel. The department has a specific curriculum of Human-Animal studies, directed by PD Dr. Mieke Roscher, who is also hosting Petteri during his visit.
During his six week stay as a visiting scholar, Petteri will give quest lectures in Neuzeitliches Forschungskolloquium in Kassel and in the Faculty of Organic Agricultural Sciences, located in Witzenhausen, nearby Kassel.
Petteri’s host, Mieke Roscher, has just released a new work on the political animal history of the Third Reich. If interested, Zucht und Züchtung – Eine politische Tiergeschichte des ‘Dritten Rieches’ is available as open access.
