Kerromme tällä tietosuojaselosteella sinulle tietosuojalainsäädännön edellyttämät tiedot siitä, miten käsittelemme henkilötietojasi otsikossa mainitussa tutkimushankkeessa, jota toteuttavat Tampereen yliopisto ja Turun yliopisto ja jota rahoittaa Business Finland. Tietosuojaselosteeseen voidaan tehdä tarvittaessa päivityksiä tai muutoksia. Jos muutos on merkittävä, ilmoitamme siitä sinulle lainsäädännön vaatimalla tavalla.

- Käsittelyn kohde ja tarkoitus
Tutkimuksen nimi: Kohti tehokkuuden, uudistumisen ja hyvinvoinnin tasapainoa. Uusia käytäntöjä asiantuntijatyölle (lyhenne: LUOVAMBI)
Kyseessä on kertatutkimus, joka kestää 30.04.2028 saakka. Hankkeessa kerättyjä tutkimusaineistoja voidaan tämän jälkeen hyödyntää tutkimusorganisaatioiden teemaan liittyvissä jatkotutkimuksissa.
Henkilötietojasi käsitellään osana tieteellisen tutkimuksen toteuttamista. Henkilötietojen käsittelyn tarkoituksena on yllä kuvatun tieteellisen tutkimuksen toteuttaminen.
Tutkimuksessa selvitetään, millaiset asiantuntijatyön tekemisen tavat, tilat ja organisoitumisen muodot mahdollistavat tehokkuuden ja uudistumisen välisen tasapainon luomisen ja ylläpitämisen työelämän digitaalisessa- ja tekoälymurroksessa. Tutkimuksen aikana tietoja käsitellään tutkimusryhmän toimesta tutkimuskysymyksiin vastaamiseksi ja julkaisujen toteuttamiseksi.
Tutkimuksen vastuulliset johtajat Kalle Pajunen (Tampereen yliopisto) ja Kirsi-Mari Kallio (Turun yliopisto) vastaavat tutkimuksen toteuttamisesta. Tutkimuksen suorittamiseen osallistuvat tutkimusryhmän jäsenet.
Tutkimuksen tuloksia, joista yksittäinen tutkittava ei ole tunnistettavissa, on tarkoitus julkaista alan tieteellisissä julkaisuissa sekä esitellä hankkeen tilaisuuksissa, hankkeen verkkosivuilla ja hankkeen ja sen toteuttajien muussa viestinnässä.
1. Käsittelyn oikeusperuste
Henkilötietojesi käsittelyperusteena on:

Henkilötietoja voidaan kerätä tilanteen mukaan joko suoraan sinulta tai muista lähteistä. Tietoja saadaan:

Käsittelemme seuraavia henkilötietoryhmiä:

Käsittelemme seuraaviin rekisteröityjen ryhmiin kuuluvien henkilöiden tietoja:

3. Henkilötietojen siirrot ja luovuttaminen

☒Henkilötietojasi ei luovuteta toisille rekisterinpitäjille säännönmukaisesti.
Henkilötietojasi voivat tilannekohtaisesti käsitellä myös henkilötietojen käsittelijät, joiden kanssa solmimme henkilötietojen käsittelystä asianmukaiset sopimukset (esim. ulkopuoliselta sopimusyritykseltä ostettavan litterointipalvelun työntekijät, joille tutkimusaineisto toimitetaan tunnisteettomana eli haastattelutiedostoja ei nimetä henkilöiden tai organisaatioiden nimillä).
Aineistoa voidaan siirtää ilman suoria tunnistettavia henkilötietoja opinnäytetöissä käytettäväksi materiaalinsiirtosopimuksella, joka sisältää salassapitovelvollisuuden. Opinnäytetyöntekijät saavat aineiston turvasähköpostina ja heille annetaan ohjeet aineiston tallennusta ja käsittelyä varten. Aineiston käsittely ja analysointi tapahtuu yliopiston tallennustilassa, jonne opiskelijat pääsevät omilla yliopiston tunnuksillaan. Opinnäytetyön valmistuttua tekijä poistaa aineistot omasta yliopiston tallennustilastaan.
4. Henkilötietojen suojaaminen
Henkilötietojasi suojataan käyttämällä asianmukaisia teknisiä ja organisatorisia suojatoimia. Suojaamme tietojasi teknisesti mm. virusturvalla, palomuurilla ja huolehtimalla säännöllisistä ohjelmistopäivityksistä. Lisäksi edellytämme kirjautumisen yhteydessä salasanaa, käyttäjätunnusta ja tilannekohtaisesti kaksivaiheista tunnistautumista.
Suojamme tietojasi myös organisatorisilla keinoilla. Henkilöstömme on salassapitovelvollinen ja tietoihin pääsyä rajataan sisäisesti. Toteutamme tarvittaessa myös erityisiä lisäsuojatoimia, kuten erillisiä säilytyssijainteja.
Mahdollisia manuaalisia aineistoja suojataan säilyttämällä ne lukituissa tiloissa.

5. Henkilötietojen säilytysaika
Henkilötietojasi säilytetään tapauskohtaisesti tarpeelliseksi arvioitu aika. Säilytysaikaan vaikuttavat myös lainsäädännön ja rahoittajan vaatimukset. Noudatamme henkilötietojen säilytyksessä tiedonohjaussuunnitelmaamme (TOS) ja soveltuvaa lainsäädäntöä.
Henkilötietojasi säilytetään tässä yhteydessä seuraavasti:

Tutkimuksen päättymisen jälkeen henkilötietoja sisältävä tutkimusrekisteri:

6. Profilointi ja automaattinen päätöksenteko
Henkilötietojasi ei käytetä profilointiin tai automaattiseen päätöksentekoon.
7. Tietosuojaoikeudet ja niiden käyttäminen
Tietosuojalainsäädäntö takaa sinulle rekisteröitynä tiettyjä oikeuksia. Oikeudet riippuvat osittain henkilötietojen käsittelyn perusteesta. Tietyissä tapauksissa oikeuksiasi voidaan rajoittaa esimerkiksi lakisääteisen velvoitteemme vuoksi tai jos käsittely tapahtuu tieteellistä tutkimusta, tilastointia tai arkistointia varten. Jos oikeuksiasi on rajoitettu, toteutamme lainsäädännön edellyttämät asianmukaiset ja tarpeelliset suojatoimenpiteet. Sinulla on seuraavia tietosuojaoikeuksia, joita voit käyttää tekemällä sitä koskevan pyynnön.
Oikeus saada pääsy tietoihin
Sinulla on oikeus saada tietoa henkilötietojen käsittelystä ja tutustua itseäsi koskeviin henkilötietoihin.
Oikeus tietojen oikaisemiseen
Sinulla on oikeus pyytää virheellisten ja puutteellisten henkilötietojen oikaisua. Lisäksi sinulla on oikeus vaatia, että tarpeettomat henkilötiedot poistetaan.
Oikeus tietojen poistamiseen
Sinulla on tietyissä tilanteissa oikeus pyytää tietojesi poistamista (ns. oikeus tulla unohdetuksi).
Oikeus käsittelyn rajoittamiseen
Sinulla voi olla oikeus rajoittaa henkilötietojen käsittelyä laissa säädetyissä tapauksissa. Rajoittamisoikeus voi tulla kyseeseen esimerkiksi, jos sinua koskevat henkilötiedot ovat mielestäsi virheellisiä, niitä käsitellään lainvastaisesti tai olet vastustanut tietojesi käsittelyä.
Vastustamisoikeus
Sinulla on tietyissä tilanteissa oikeus henkilökohtaiseen, erityiseen tilanteeseesi perustuen vastustaa henkilötietojesi käsittelyä.
Oikeus siirtää tiedot järjestelmästä toiseen.
Sinulla on tietyissä tilanteissa oikeus pyytää itse toimittamiesi henkilötietojen siirtoa järjestelmästä toiseen.
Oikeus olla joutumatta automaattisen päätöksenteon kohteeksi
Sinulla on oikeus olla joutumatta sellaisen päätöksen kohteeksi, joka perustuu pelkästään automaattiseen käsittelyyn, kuten profilointiin, ja jolla on sinua koskevia oikeusvaikutuksia tai joka vaikuttaa sinuun vastaavalla tavalla merkittävästi. Kieltoon on kuitenkin poikkeuksia.
Suostumuksen peruuttaminen
Mikäli henkilötietojesi käsittely perustuu suostumukseen, sinulla on milloin tahansa oikeus peruuttaa antamasi suostumus.
Oikeus tehdä valitus valvontaviranomaiselle
Sinulla on oikeus tehdä valitus valvontaviranomaiselle (Tietosuojavaltuutettu), jos henkilötietojesi käsittelyssä käsityksesi mukaan rikotaan tietosuojalainsäädäntöä.

In this privacy policy, we provide you with the information required by data protection legislation on how we process your personal data in the research project mentioned in the title, which is carried out by the University of Tampere and the University of Turku and funded by Business Finland. In data protection legislation, the term ”data subject” is used to refer to the person to whom the personal data relates. In this privacy policy, we use the form ”you” for the data subject and ”we” for the data controller.
Updates or changes may be made to the Privacy Policy if necessary. If the change is significant, we will notify you as required by law.

- Object and purpose of processing
Name of the study: Towards a balance between efficiency, renewal and well-being. New practices for expert work (abbreviation: LUOVAMBI)
This is a one-time survey that will last until 30.04.2028. The research data collected in the project can then be used in further research related to the theme of research organisations.
Your personal data is processed as part of the implementation of scientific research. The purpose of processing personal data is to carry out the scientific research described above.
The study examines what kinds of methods, spaces and forms of organisation of expert work enable the creation and maintenance of a balance between efficiency and renewal in the digital and artificial intelligence transformation of working life. During the research, the data is processed by the research group to answer the research questions and to implement publications.
The principal investigators of the study, Kalle Pajunen (University of Tampere) and Kirsi-Mari Kallio (University of Turku), are responsible for the implementation of the study. The members of the research team participate in the study.
The results of the research, from which an individual research subject cannot be identified, are intended to be published in scientific journals in the field and presented at project events, on the project’s website and in other communications between the project and its implementers.
- Legal basis for processing
The basis for processing your personal data is:

Personal data may be collected either directly from you or from other sources, depending on the situation. Information is obtained:

We process the following categories of personal data:
☒ General personal information: name, contact information, and research data collected from the research participants: audio recordings and transcripts (text recordings) of the interviews, questionnaire responses in numerical format and possibly as text files, diary responses as text files, in numerical format and possibly as audio recordings.
We process the data of the following categories of data subjects:

☒Your personal data will not be transferred outside the EU/EEA
☒Your personal data will not be disclosed to other controllers on a regular basis.
Your personal data may also be processed on a case-by-case basis by personal data processors with whom we have entered into appropriate agreements on the processing of personal data (e.g. employees of a transcription service purchased from an external contract company, to whom the research material is delivered anonymously, i.e. interview files are not named by names of persons or organisations).
The material can be transferred without directly identifiable personal data for use in theses with a material transfer agreement that includes a confidentiality obligation. The thesis workers will receive the material as a secure email and they will be given instructions on how to save and process the material. The processing and analysis of the data takes place in the university’s storage space, which students can access with their own university credentials. After completing the thesis, the author deletes the materials from their own university storage.
- Protection of personal data
Your personal data is protected by using appropriate technical and organisational safeguards. We protect your data technically with e.g. virus protection, a firewall and by taking care of regular software updates. In addition, we require a password, username and, depending on the situation, two-factor authentication when logging in.
We also protect your data through organisational measures. Our personnel are bound by confidentiality and access to information is restricted internally. If necessary, we also implement special additional safeguards, such as separate storage locations.
Any manual materials are protected by storing them in locked spaces.

- Retention period of personal data
Your personal data will be stored for a period of time deemed necessary on a case-by-case basis. The storage period is also affected by the requirements of legislation and the financier. We store personal data in accordance with our Data Management Plan (TOS) and applicable legislation.

After the end of the study, the research register containing personal data:

- Profiling and automated decision-making
Your personal data will not be used for profiling or automated decision-making.
- Data protection rights and exercise of them
Data protection legislation guarantees you certain rights as a data subject. The rights depend in part on the basis of which the personal data is processed. In certain cases, your rights may be restricted, for example, due to our legal obligation or if the processing is carried out for scientific research, statistical or archiving purposes. If your rights are restricted, we will take appropriate and necessary safeguards as required by law. You have the following data protection rights, which you can exercise by making a request to do so.
Right of access
You have the right to be informed about the processing of personal data and to access the personal data concerning you.
Right to rectification
You have the right to request rectification of inaccurate and incomplete personal data. In addition, you have the right to demand that unnecessary personal data be deleted.
Right to erasure
In certain situations, you have the right to request the erasure of your data (the so-called right to be forgotten).
Right to restriction of processing
You may have the right to restrict the processing of personal data in cases provided for by law. The right to restriction may be considered, for example, if you believe that the personal data concerning you is incorrect, it is being processed unlawfully or you have objected to the processing of your data.
Right to object
In certain situations, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data based on your personal, specific situation.
The right to data portability.
In certain situations, you have the right to request the transfer of personal data that you have provided yourself from one system to another.
Right not to be subject to automated decision-making
You have the right not to be subject to a decision that is based solely on automated processing, such as profiling, and which produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you. However, there are exceptions to the ban.
Withdrawal of consent
If the processing of your personal data is based on consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.
Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (the Data Protection Ombudsman) if you believe that the processing of your personal data violates data protection legislation.
