The ICT4N project matches people and companies in ICT sector.
The ICT4N project seeks a solution for the problem of bringing together the employment needs of mainly foreign-speaking ICT professionals with the skill needs of ICT companies operating in the Pirkanmaa region.
ICT For Need
ICT4N as ICT For Need is funded by the European Social Fund (ESF) and implemented by Tampere University of Applied Sciences and Tampere University.
In the period of 1.4.2020 -31.3.2022 our main focus is to create and execute a new kind of process model for bringing together ICT professionals and companies in need of specific know-how.
The first round of implementation is ending in April 2021 and the second starts in August 2021. For more information, please contact ict4n @ tuni.fi
Our main objectives are
to help companies in the Pirkanmaa region find a suitable workforce for their needs.
to reduce the unemployment rate of highly educated foreigners that are already in Finland.
The impact of the project will be to reduce the unemployment of highly educated foreign-language ICT professionals by upgrading their skills and by providing training tailored to the specific needs of the local business community. The project will help eliminate the lack of skilled workforce among companies or organizations, which will improve their chances to succeed in the future. The company or organization receives support to fill the skills gap and to recruit at a lower risk. As a concrete result, the specific training planned in collaboration with the Tampere university community will be piloted twice during the project.
