ITK Conference 2025: Reflections of building capacity in Ghanaian Higher Education

The ITK Conference held in Tampere provided a valuable opportunity to highlight and share key developments and strategic directions emerging from the Erasmus GOT project. Among the central points emphasized was the establishment of a comprehensive roadmap to guide the effective integration and optimization of hybrid teaching methods. In parallel, the discussions highlighted existing challenges and critical gaps in infrastructure, particularly regarding IT resources and digital platforms. These limitations underscore the need for future investments and targeted improvements to support the sustainable integration of digital innovations in higher education.

Another major milestone shared at the conference was the successful implementation of digital competencies acquired in Europe, designed to support ongoing educational activities and enhance the quality and accessibility of course delivery. Participants in the project reported highly positive feedback, noting both personal growth and significant institutional advancements following the adoption of these initiatives.

Looking ahead, the project is expected to yield long-term benefits, including improved educational quality, increased accessibility, and stronger academic performance. Furthermore, the outcomes point to meaningful opportunities for expanding international academic partnerships and collaborations. Plans are also underway to scale successful practices across a broader network of institutions, while maintaining momentum through peer-to-peer knowledge exchange and localized capacity-building efforts.
