The ”Generative Artificial Intelligence in Business Support (GENT)” project focuses on bringing generative AI and its broad language models expertise to companies in the Satakunta region. The main aim of the project is to produce AI-assisted experiments targeted at companies and organizations in the region. The goal is to increase AI expertise and raise awareness of AI tools among actors in Satakunta through various experimental environments and pilots.
The project will conduct experiments using generative AI in areas of business identified by companies and organizations that have room for improvement in their development and efficiency. These experiments will provide actors with concrete, relevant, and easily adoptable examples of how to utilize and apply generative AI in their business. With the support of the project implementer, companies and organizations will also gain knowledge of the skills and tools required to leverage AI applications.
The project will enable local businesses to try and utilize AI applications in developing their business, increasing productivity, and enhancing investment efficiency. The opportunities provided by generative AI offer companies a novel method to maintain and strengthen competitiveness, as well as increase productivity and resource efficiency.
The project implementation is the responsibility of the Pori unit of Tampere University, whose researchers and experts will conduct AI-assisted experiments with companies and organizations in the region through co-creation. The solutions, materials, and measures developed in the project will be available to all companies operating in Satakunta and can be tailored to their specific needs. The project serves as a practical example of cooperation between (SME) companies, the public sector, and research and education organizations in Satakunta.
