Project-related research was presented in two international conferences

In August and September 2018, the UTA project team has participated in two international conferences presenting the project-related research findings.

Vesna Holubek attended the annual forum of The European Higher Education Society, EAIR (26-29 August) hosted by the Central European University in Budapest, Hungary. She presented the findings of a phenomenographic study on university teacher’s conceptions about teaching and learning. The research data were collected through four focus group interviews with 18 university teachers working at Islamic University of Gaza. The presentation was held within the forum’s Track 1: Teaching and Learning.

Vesa Korhonen and Pauliina Alenius participated in the European Conference on Educational Research, ECER (4-7 September) hosted by the Free University Bolzano in Bolzano, Italy. They presented the research findings on teaching approaches of the IUG university teachers. The research was conducted collaboratively between UTA and IUG team members and it will be published in an international journal. The research findings were presented in a session organised by the ECER Network 22: Research in Higher Education. The annual ECER conference is organised by the European Educational Research Association (EERA).
