The six-months long Training of Trainers was concluded with two closing webinars held on 21 and 23 January 2019. The programme of the closing webinars included a summary of the themes covered by the training and a discussion on the future steps of pedagogical development at IUG. The highlight of the webinars were the participants’ presentations on their pedagogical projects. The pedagogical projects are an important part of the training during which the participants planned and implemented development actions in their teaching applying the concepts and theories discussed in the training.
During the webinars, the participants had an opportunity to present their pedagogical projects and discuss their implementation experiences with their colleagues and trainers. The lively discussion that followed the presentations touched various aspects of planning and improving teaching and learning in higher education.
The project partners, Tampere University and Islamic University of Gaza, will jointly award certificates to the training participants in an official ceremony that will be held in February 2019 at IUG. In the upcoming months, the project team will start preparation and planning of the local training programme to be offered to all academics at IUG.
