We are very excited to welcome our new Postdoctoral Researcher and Project Coordinator Barbara Gaweda to our EUGenDem team!
She will start in the new job in October 2019.
Barbara obtained her PhD in Political Science from the University of Edinburgh in 2017 and she was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute for Advanced Social Research of Tampere University 2018-2019.
She is specialised in gender politics and anti-equality discourses in East-Central Europe. Previously her research has focused on a gendered analysis of political discourses and institutions in parliamentary politics, gender (in)equality, politics of sexuality, nationalism and post-state socialist transformations.
With this knowledge, she is a highly welcome addition to the EUGenDem research team.
Barbara’s research in the project will focus on the European Parliament’s political groups and the European Pillar of Social Rights from a gender equality perspective.
