About me

 Prof. T. Minav, (PI, D.Sc. (Tech.)) is part of the IHA-Innovative hydraulics and Automation unit at Tampere University/Finland. She has received a Doctor of Science degree (D.Sc.) from Lappeenranta University of Technology (LUT) in 2011. She is an expert in electro-hydrostatic systems and actuators, cylinder’s sensorless position motion control, simulation, energy balance, and energy recovery systems in non-road mobile machinery. During her academic career, she worked and lead industrial projects funded by Business Finland (former Tekes) and by the Academy of Finland) related to the electrification of off-road machinery and its implements.

About me

I am pursuing PhD in Automation Science and Engineering. My area of research interest include condition monitoring, machine learning, computational fluid dynamics, renewable energy and aerospace. I am currently working on developing an AI-based sensor-less condition monitoring system for electro-hydraulic systems.

I do research in the field of magnetic materials modelling and numerical analysis of energy conversion devices. My interests are the losses in electrical machines, model order reduction methods, Multi-scale modelling of electrical steel, diagnosis and condition monitoring of electrical machines, magnetomechanics, and noise and vibrations, among others

About me

I’m interested in any aspect of machine learning for big data applications. Particular focus is given on sparse models (compressed sensing) and on the effects of constraints on computational complexity and communication requirements of the implemented learning algorithms. Recent work considers the fundamental limits of and practical methods for dictionary learning and graphical model selection for high-dimensional processes.
