Reza student recently took part in the Young Researcher Symposium at the EDBT/ICDT 2026 Joint Conference in Tampere, where the traditional PhD workshop was reimagined into a more interactive and community‑focused format featuring invited talks, career discussions, structured networking, and personalized mentoring designed to support young researchers’ professional growth.
During the event, he presented our work on multi‑sided fairness in recommender systems and valued the opportunity to exchange ideas, receive constructive feedback, and connect with peers and mentors in an open, engaging setting. The warm and collaborative atmosphere, made possible thanks to the organizers, including Jia Zou and Sainyam Galhotra, who helped shape the new symposium structure, made the experience especially meaningful and supportive for early‑career researchers.
